Last year I attended the Spark Conference in Arizona. It’s an event hosted by Showit, primarily for designers who use their platform to create sites for clients in creative and coaching fields.

You’ve heard me say it before, but I’ll say it again:

Great salespeople are not born. They’re made.

Sales is a skill you learn, just like everything else you do in your business.

What do you think is the hardest part of selling your services?

  1. Getting people to respond to your initial inquiry response?

  2. Guiding the discovery call with great questions?

Have you heard the term “lovely” to describe a lower level of luxury in the wedding industry?

I first heard it back in 2016.

Have you noticed your best clients don’t always have the biggest budgets?

Just because someone has a million dollars in their bank account doesn’t mean they’re a good fit for your company.

Someone once told me that you can’t scale luxury. Actually, I’ve heard it from a lot of different people in the wedding industry.

I don’t believe it to be true.

For many, destination weddings are the perfect mix of business and pleasure.

Travel to enchanting destinations, experience local culture, sit by the pool, or beach, or on top of a mountain

All while getting paid to do it.

How do you close a deal without sounding sales-y?

Even the term “close a deal” sounds sales-y, right?!

But it’s necessary if you want to fill your calendar.

I get asked all the time:

Will your sales process work for me?

Short answer: Yes.

What if I’m a photographer?

Yes.

What if I’m a planner?

Wouldn’t it be great if all your clients were perfect?

Big budgets.

Beautiful designs.

Fun to work with.

Too bad that’s not the case.

It’s always easier - and more successful - when you have an expert guiding the way. Reach out to schedule a 1:1 session with sales, copywriting and business strategy expert, Sam Jacobson. You’ll leave the conversation feeling confident about your next big move.

Let’s talk it out
